We hope you had a very nice weekend in London.
We had a few really beautiful cool days late last week and some strange rainy sunny weather this weekend. Purrcy has been taking a lot of porch naps (like this one).
G and I have had to get creative. Although we are happy to have a few days break from watering the plants, we miss taking our longer walks. On Friday we went to Petsmart again. There was a dog training class going on in a little fenced in area and Groundy stopped to study them for a bit. She was very excited and whenever the trainer said "sit," she sat. The trainer was so impressed with her sitting skills that she threw at treat to her even though we weren't part of the class! You should be very proud of your smart puppy.
On Friday evening my friend Lizzie came for a visit and Groundy LOVED the extra belly rubs.
I will have some photos of Lulu very soon, but she can be sort of hard to photograph. Leroy thinks that he needs to be in more photos too, so I will make that happen.

Despite your supposed brown thumb, the begonia looks lovely! We love this sleepy Purrcy picture. Chris in particular got a big kick out of G's Petsmart story, since she didn't exactly excel at her own training class and still often doesn't sit well on command! Funny pooch. I'm glad you and G got a visit from Lizzie!
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time in London but there weren't many pets there, though we did go through the London Zoo and fell in love with a baby macaque, the incredibly weird bearded pigs (especially funny since we've been noting the facial hair of many British dogs), and a burrowing owl.
We have news for you to tell Leroy: Kirby was awarded the best band student in 6th grade award! We got a lovely email from his instructor about it. Of course Leroy must share the credit. Also, we saw the Royal Guard band playing at the Changing of the Guard and there were many trombones. (To our shock and delight, the did a whole ABBA medley, including "Dancing Queen," and progressed to the Darth Vadar music! Not very royal...?)
I am glad you all had such a good time in London! I will have to google pictures of these bearded pigs. Your challenge, of course, is to now find a cat with facial hair. A mustachioed cat would really be a great find!
